Dear Candy, February 15, 2010

On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors of the American Culinary Federation Pittsburgh Chapter and the family of Chef William Foust we offer our congratulations on being chosen as the 2009-2010 recipient of the William Foust Scholarship Award.
As this year’s scholarship recipient you will be receiving a check for the amount of $1200.00. As stipulated in the scholarship criteria this check is intended to be applied toward your culinary education. You will be officially recognized at the upcoming ACFPC Awards Dinner being held on February twenty eighth at St. Clair Country Club. Your presence is required to receive the scholarship and the ACFPC will be providing your complimentary reservation for the dinner.
Chef Foust was a distinguished and long time member of the American Culinary Federation Pittsburgh Chapter. Chef Foust was a beloved and highly regarded member of our chapter who remained active well into his nineties. He possessed a unique personality which was the perfect blend of professionalism, dedication, stewardship and humor. Chef Foust was a true gentleman and mentor to many throughout his decade’s long affiliation with the ACFPC. In honor of his many contributions to our local ACF chapter and the culinary profession, we have founded a scholarship in his name. It is our intention that through this scholarship the American Culinary Federation Pittsburgh Chapter might carry on Chef Foust’s mission of cultivating the talents of our student membership.
We wish you continued success in your schooling and want to thank you for your ongoing involvement in our local ACF chapter. Please contact ACFPC President, Andrea Schrenk for the details concerning your scholarship and the Awards Dinner.

Sincerely,

The Officers and Board of Directors American Culinary Federation Pittsburgh Chapter

The William Foust Family
